Kitchen Remodel

Karma and I spent Wednesday afternoon through Saturday night working on our daughter, Kara's kitchen. We completely gutted it, put down a new underlay on the floor, did a little electrical work, installed new cabinets and appliances. I had planned to connect the dishwasher but I just can seen to do plumbing. Kara's father-in-law is going to handle the dishwasher. Of course it took longer than we expected but I think it turned out great. There is still a lot of work that needs to be done...painting, countertops, flooring, lights, etc...but we got a lot accomplished in 3 1/2 days.

Before...

After....

My back and shoulders were a little stiff on Sunday morning, from all the work on the kitchen, but I did manage to get in a nice 62 mile ride. It was very windy and of course, the wind shifted on me during the ride. I had a crossing head wind on the way out and a full on head wind on the way back. This was my first ride outside in over a week and I let my enthusiasm get the better of me. I went out a little hard and started to bonk a little at mile 60. It was around 60 degrees and sunny at the end of the ride so, considering its late October, I can't complain too much.
