The mind can do some pretty strange things sometimes. Every time I see a man with white hair and glasses I have to take a second look. I'll think it looks just like Dad. Of course it doesn't really look like him but I have to take a second look to be sure. I mentioned it to my sister and she said the same thing happens to her. He's been gone for 46 days.

Does everything happen for a reason...is there really a thing called fate or do things just happen. I am not a real believer in fate or luck. I think people are pretty much responsible for their own fate...at least to a point. Sometimes bad things just happen for no real understandable reason. Why do some very good people leave us too soon while some very bad people seen to carry on for way too long? It just happens. I think people can put themselves in a position or in circumstances to have good luck. People are not lucky because God has decided to bless them with good luck. Good things happen because you make them happen. God has blessed us with free will, the ability to make our own choices. Make good choices and good things can happen.

I bought QueenK a ring on Saturday. Its a one caret three diamond anniversary ring. She was bugging the hell out of me about buying her this ring. I don't really know why she wanted this ring so bad but she did...She was at Heidie's bridal shower all day Saturday. When she got home she asked what I had done all day. I just pulled the ring out of my pocket and set it on the table. I thought she was going to cry when she saw it...score one for me.

I had a good ride with the Team BW guys on Saturday. 10 or 12 of us rolled out at around 8:30. I ended up with nearly 5 hours on the bike by the time I got home. I had ridden 2 1/2 hours on Friday and 1 3/4 hours on Thursday. My legs were feeling every bit of it on Sunday. I was actually glad to see the wind and rain on Sunday...it gave me a good reason to rest and not feel too obligated to ride again.

QueenK and I have been planning our trip to San Diego in March. A few weeks ago Dr J mentioned that his wife was going to San Diego for a conference. He was going and taking his bike to get some warm weather training rides. Dr. J was nice enough to ask if QueenK and I would like to go along. No way was I going to pass up the chance to spend a week doing training rides in southern California. Dr J and his wife and QueenK and I have each rented condos in San Diego for the week....I can hardly wait.
