My ride starts today

Tomorrow is my birthday and the three week anniversity of my Dad's death. I think I'm starting to get used to the idea that he's gone. I think about him all the time but at least now I can usually think about him without sheading tears. I'll always miss him so much.

I got on the trainer tonight for an easy spin. I have my bike (Felt FC1) mounted on a CycleOps Fluid trainer. I tried watching TV but there was nothing on that could make me forget how boring it is riding the road to nowhere. I put on a DVD of the 2005 Paris-Roubaix and played U2 on the MP3 player. I managed an hour and a quarter before I quit. The weather was good enough this past week for me to get in about 180 miles outside on the road. Not bad for the last week of December/first week of January.
