Hillsboro

Takenbake and I did the Hillsboro crit last Saturday evening. The 3/4 race had 25 or 30 starters. Only 12 or 15 actually finished in the field. I think I was 12th or 15th. I felt like crap the whole race but still managed to hit the front a few times to keep the pace high. Some little Nome from Team Dayton got away with 5 or so laps to go and stayed away. Not because he was strong...but because the rest of us were a bunch of wusses without the balls to chase him down. I over-cooked the last turn to the finish and nearly parked in the curb. I stayed up but blew any chance to finish in the money.

I got talked into starting the 1-2-3 race. I rolled around with 12 other rider for 3 laps and decided I got my $10 worth out of the second race and bagged it. Congrats to Nieport for lapping the field in the 1-2-3 race and getting the win.
