We Finally Closed on a House

We finally closed on a house just north of Columbus in the Galena-Sunbury area. We will be moving the week of May 7. Its been a battle to get this house. It needs work to fix it up a bit but in the end it will be worth it. Several times I wanted to just say forget it but Karma kept pressing on. If it was up to me I would have just said its not worth the hassle. I won't go into details except to say...do not buy a house that is in foreclosure and is half owned by a multiple time convicted drug dealer who is currently awaiting trial in Federal court, no matter how good the deal sounds. People make jokes about how maybe we will find a stash of coke or pot hidden in the house. I don't think that's going to happen...the police have already looked for it...which explains the broken front door.

Its all good anyway. Karma has been driving 85 miles one way to work everyday since February. That will now become a 25 minute trip. Its a good area for riding the bike. The BIG downside is that I will no longer be able to work from home. I am becoming a Cubetown dweller. I have my noise cancelling headphones ready and am prepared to become the anti-social member of the Cubetown community.

Hey man, don't be upset that you have to come back in the office and not wear some khaki shorts all day long. And, you could be sitting by me...so it could be worse!

I guess you're right, it could be worse. I should be glad there was no open cube next to you.
