Snow
Takenbakeman invited along to the Ohio State - Michigan basketball game on Tuesday night. He had an extra ticket and was nice enough to offer it to me. Unfortunately, Ma' Nature decided to drop 6" of snow on us Tuesday afternoon. The game was at 7:00 but I was planning to leave home at 3:30 to give myself plenty of time to make the 90 mile drive to Columbus. Takenbake called my cell at around 3:20 and left a message, "Dude, if you're coming up to the game, you better leave early". I called him right back and he told me the traffic was already bad in Columbus and they only had a couple of inches on the ground. We decided, with the bad traffic already, there was no sense in me trying to drive up to the game. The game was on ESPN, so I got to see it anyway.
I started shovelling my driveway at lunch on Wednesday. I got about half of it shovelled, when my neighbor came over with his little John Deere/snowplow and finished it for me. I had only spoken to him one time last summer when I helped him get his lawn roller out of a ditch. He didn't say much more than thank you then...he barely said anything on Wednesday. He just rode over plowed the driveway and rode off. I'm sure he's a nice guy, he just doesn't have much to say.
