Carbon fiber, a hammer and a chisel are never a good combination but sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do. A carbon seat post had fused itself inside the seat tube of my Felt. I tried everything I could think of to free the stuck post but nothing would budge it. I finally cut it off just above the top of the tube. I used a hacksaw blade to cut grooves inside the post. I then spent two hours carefully chiseling the seat post from the aluminium insert that sits inside the seat tube. Finally, I had success with no apparent damage to the frame.

About Me
- Name: Doug
- Location: Galena, Ohio, United States
I'm just the normal run of the mill average "Doug" who happens to be obsessed with racing a bike. The few people who actually read this blog might wonder if I do anything but ride my bike. I really do other things but this blog is about the bike and the rides I do. There are no deep thoughts or astute observations found here. I will not try to sound intellectual or deep on any subject (I know I'm stating the obvious here...just look at what I post:). There will not be much really personal stuff here because the personal stuff is....yes, personal. I will occasionally post some personal things but this blog is about the bike.
